Oh no, I can't believe this! What is the world coming to?? I'm seriously gob-smacked by this theft ... I really hope they are able to be found and returned, I can only begin to imagine the feeling of loss of the owners (being an embroiderer myself, I know how much time and effort goes into anything hand-made).

That is so so sad. Who would do such a thing?

Jenny, how awful for you all.
Do you mind if I post this link to my online groups?
You just never know where quilts may turn up.

Some people are just scum. My sister had her handsewn Humpty stolen from a school exhibition some years ago; she was only about 13 at the time.
Can you secure the quilts with safety pins or something to make them harder to get off the stand? Even a strategic backtack would do the job.
I'll spread the word, too.

How did they manage this ?
I walk past your store every day and saw no signs of a break-in ?
Hope you find the culprits :(
