Colour makes a difference

Joanne has made  "Star Surprise" in  different fabrics from those we supplied as our BOM. How different does it look in these colours. You can never rule out any pattern as the fabrics you make a quilt in makes all the difference. We would love to see all the other versions out there!!

So much fabric, so little time

A touch of pink is needed for my new next door neighbour! Baby "Willow" has joined 3 of the cutest boys you have ever seen. This is the little quilt i whipped up for her.

Lots of new brights have arrived in store.

A new block of the month is underway, so as you can see I need, like all of you ,10 extra hours a day! Stay tuned.

Nanna Jean

Renee has been busy making this as a gift for her nanna. I am sure she will love it. Blog_638

Renee was a little worried it was too bright so added a gentle back. We are still pondering how Renee manages to be so prolific, and raise 3 gorgeous and well behaved girls. Maybe Matt can be bottled!

The last post about heaven!

I promise this is the last you will hear about our stitching weekend..until the next one. Here are some of the achievements

A sad group about to leave and go home to the chores of everyday life. I just want to add,I think the answers to some of the trivia questions were debatable!!! I am sticking by my answer that the 3 wise men are not the people quoted!! I am quite sure Nathan Buckley is one of them.

Comfy footwear

Slippers were the order of the weekend, I am so impressed with the quality... I could not have taken my mouldy old favourites out for a public airing. Blog_633

Amy knitted these then felted them, they were fabulous.Blog_634

Jan crocheted these for Jenny R. Such talent in our group displayed.

All Over Too Quickly

Last Friday afternoon [ after a wonderful lunch to celebrate Amanda's birthday-Happy birthday sweet Amanda] I and 19 other like minded souls set off for a wonderful weekend of stitching in Lancefield, just over an hour north of Melbourne. Some of the things we were looking forward to were...single rooms...2 good nights sleep...no cooking...old friends [ UFO included ]... new friends...laughter and much stitching. As everyone dribbled in over the course of the evening a drink or 2 were enjoyed.Blog_589_2

Nic and Jus did a fantastic job organizing the event and we were all asked to bring some snacks with us. Nic's mum, Rae and here friend Jenny have always been office bearers of the over catering committee and OH boy was that the case here.Blog_609 Blog_600

You may well ask did we eat the wonderful meals that were served by the great staff at the venue.Blog_623

The answer is clear when you note the vacated sewing room......we were all in the dining room!! Over the next few days I will post some of the wonderful creations.

Well Done Girls
