1 more before I go

Sorry me again. This proves you don't need to look like Elle to be a "Cover Girl" twice in 1 month.

This is a quickie quilt, made in an afternoon for Megs friend having a baby. I know some of you gals were waiting to see the finished item.

This truly is good bye this time as I have a plane to catch.

2 amazing quilts.

These 2 stunner's were in the store yesterday, and we were delighted to see them. Check out the use of color and design. One of the next generation of quilters. Congratulations and good luck with your study overseas as well.

Fussy cutter extraordinare. These hexagons have  1/'2" side measurements. Really something to behold.

I am off on holidays for a little over 2 weeks so I won't have news until I am home, but look out then as I am off to the Tokyo Quilt Fair. It's our wedding anniversary and my husband mentioned that he would like to go to Japan and catch up with 2 students who stayed with us while our girls were at school. I couldn't deny him his wish...could I? The fact that the quilt fair is on at the same time is just coincidence. ( don't tell him our anniversary isn't in January)

Cover Girl...thats me!!

The latest issue of "Better Homes and Gardens" has an article on quilting and one of my quilts has been featured on the front cover.

Thats enough about me. We have had some exceptional girls in the shop over the holidays and it is so refreshing to see the interest and enthusiasm they have for crafting. Maybe we are turning full circle.

Sophie made this quilt all on her own and is now popping some borders on.

Then we have all the gorgeous girls from Judy's class.

A question for you all?

On Saturday a question was posed to us in the shop by a great new quilter, who has been absolutely bitten by the bug "How many unfinished projects SHOULD you have on the go at one time?" Boy did this open a channel for conversation between like minded shoppers.( one person thinks 13 is a good number) I started counting and quickly stopped when I realised that I may be going to win the race. ( one race not to be won or bragged about). I guess it is something we all may have been asked at some time by a family member. So I ask each of you to be honest and give this poor new quilter the authority to start another project before the previous one is completed!!!

After counting a little more I am sitting at my machine for a wee while tonight. There could be a little prize for the most creative answer. We all need new excuses from time to time,
